Guidelines

Safe and inclusive space guidelines by Skeiv Verden: include everyone; respect pronouns; communicate respectfully; ask before touching; respect boundaries when flirting; let people choose what they share; protect anonymity and contact details; ask for consent before taking photos; and keep an open mind. Everyone makes mistakes: give and accept constructive feedback, and be kind.Used with permission from Skeiv Verden

  1. Be kind to the people around you. Queer Hangout includes marginalised groups such as Muslims, sex workers, disabled people, and trans people. Be willing to learn and treat others with respect. Bigotry is not accepted.
  2. Our events are for queer people, including anyone who is questioning or exploring their identity. You are welcome to bring an assistant or a non-queer friend for support.
  3. Ask before contacting someone outside Queer Hangout events. Not everyone is out. Do not share another person's contact details without permission, even with someone else in the group.
